The best behind-the-scenes thing about my WordPress blog is that there are all of these amazing “Blog Stats” features that I can nerd out on. I can see how people found my blog, what they looked at once they got here… and don’t even get me started on the visitors-per-day bar graph! It’s crazy to think that since I started blogging a year ago, people have found their way to my humble little page almost 6,000 times!
I wanted to post something to commemorate my blog-iversary, so I checked my stats. Today, someone found their way to my blog by googling “Revel Cakes” (yes, we make cakes!) so I thought I’d post a photo of the best thing I made this year, which may also be the best thing I have ever made in my life.
Through the magic of Facebook, Mandip found my guitar hero cake and it apparently inspired enough faith to hire me to make her husband’s birthday cake. Her only stipulation was, “make Jeremy a cat cake.” Her wish was my command!
When I delivered this puppy (er, kitty) to the Irish Heather, the chef came out of the kitchen and asked me if I wanted to work for them! Compliments don’t get much better than that!
